Nature Strip on show

May 26th 2020

Australia’s fastest horse looks just as fine going slow.

Chris Waller Racing released footage via social media on Tuesday of Nature Strip performing dressage at The Hermitage at The Oaks, approximately 80km outside Sydney.

The Hermitage is a thoroughbred facility that has catered for some of Waller’s biggest names in recent years, including Winx and The Autumn Sun.

Nature Strip won his most recent start in the Group 1 T.J. Smith Stakes (1200m) at Randwick in April, strengthening his claims for Australian Horse of the Year honours as the only horse to win three times at the elite level this season.

Nature Strip, a winner of 14 of 23 starts, will be prepared for a second attempt at the $15m Everest (1200m) at Randwick in October, having already secured a slot in the race after connections finalised a deal with the TAB.
